Recognizing the need for social legal awareness amongst the community, schools and other institutions, BSOLS Legal Aid clinic ventured to extend its services through an outreach programme in the form of BSOLS Legal Aid outreach unit. In the months of September, October, November and January 2020, the student volunteers of BSOLS conducted interactive awareness sessions on various legal and social legal issues and availed legal aid and redressal of complaints. On the 13th of February 2020 the law students of BSOLS made history when 400 student volunteers covered 31 schools in one day by conducting age-specific awareness sessions under the banner “Niyamodayam”. The modules included constitution preamble, fundamental rights and duties, anti-drug abuse, body safety (POCSO preventive module) and cyber safety.
