The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies (BSOLS) is an integral part of our commitment to community service and student development. The NSS unit at BSOLS engages students in various activities aimed at fostering a sense of social responsibility, leadership, and community engagement.

How to Join NSS

Students interested in joining the NSS unit at BSOLS can enroll through the institution. The program requires a commitment to participate in various activities and projects, dedicating a minimum of 240 hours of service. Interested students can contact the NSS Program Officers Mr.Sanimon V G ( Assistant Professor), Mrs.Athira K M ( Assistant Professor) are the program officers of BSOLS NSS Unit.

Recent NSS Initiatives at BSOLS

  • Legal Literacy Drive: Conducted a series of legal awareness sessions in nearby communities, focusing on women’s rights, consumer rights, and cyber laws.
  • Vaikkam Muhammad Basheer commemoration: A Reading Day and Quiz Competition was organized to renew the memory of Malayalam’s universal writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.
  • Blood Donation Camp: Held a health camp in collaboration with local healthcare providers to offer free medical check-ups and consultations.
  • Tree Plantation Drive: Planted over 500 saplings in the local community to promote environmental sustainability.
  • International Yoga Day was observed: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, yoga training class and awareness were conducted.
  • Anti-war rally organized by NSS: An anti-war rally was organized on the occasion of Hiroshima Day.
  • Orientation Session for new volunteers: To impart the basic knowledge regarding National Service Scheme, the Unit organized an orientation Session for new batch of Volunteers.
  • Industrial visit conducted: Visited Modern Company, Edappally to learn about the enterprise and understand various aspects of production.
  • Kargil Day Observance: NSS BSOLS organized a event for remeberance of Nation’s brave soldiers and their contributions to the legendary Kargil War, in association with NCC, BSOLS.
