Bharata Mata ADR International Club in collaboration with BSOLS organized a National Workshop on Mediation Law and Practice on 7th September 2024. The Workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Acting Chief Justice of Kerala High Court Mr. Justice Muhammed Mustaque. 130 participants attended in person from various parts of India. 30 participants joined the event online via Zoom. The Workshop featured 5 technical sessions led by 5 eminent resource persons.

Session 1: Mediation as of today – Salient features of Mediation Act 2023

Speaker: Adv. Krusch P. Antony (Partner, King Stubb & Kasiva Advocates & Attorneys)

Session 2: Mediation Procedure – Stages of Mediation and Role of Mediator

Speakers: Adv. George Merlo Pallath (Senior Mediator Trainer MCPC) & Adv. P. M. Mohammad Shiraz  (Mediator trainer MCPC, Mediator & Arbitrator)

Session 3: Mediation Advocacy and Community Mediation

Speaker: Adv. P. G. Suresh (Mediator & Arbitrator, AMICUS Associates)

Session 4: Online Mediation and Institutional Mediation

Speaker: Adv. Krithika Sethi (Advocate, Bombay High Court & Co-founder at WeVaad)

Session 5: Mediation Role Play

The Valedictory session was presided over by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Vadakumpadan and the Chief Guest for the session was Dr. C. S. Mohit, District Judge and Member Secretary of KELSA.
